The Reach Out to Dropouts Walk has brought back thousands of students
in four years with the help of over 6,000 volunteers and the continuing
work of Dropout Prevention Specialists!
After the first
week of school, addresses of students who have not reported back are
verified. Teams of volunteers then go door-to-door encouraging
students to return. School districts can arrange to enroll returning
students on the spot.
There is a lot you can do to help youth return to school in your community. Take
action as an individual, youth-serving organization, school, or a school
district.
Organize a City-wide Summit or Town Hall Meeting
Create an opportunity for youth serving organizations, community leaders,
and school representatives to come together and assess the needs, gaps,
and future possibilities to help youth return to school.

Implement the successful reach out effort that Expectation Graduation
